Triple Base Technology (TBT) continues to be one of the main talking points with Bataleon for the 2012/13 season along with a new binding. And why not? As Bataleon puts it, “Flat boards are old, weird shapes are where it’s at.”
Highlights? We’re really excited to have won two Grade Eh Awards in the Snowboard Canada board test this year. The Omni received an award in the freeride category and the Evil Twin won an award in the park board category. In terms of new product, we have a brand new board shape and now our TBT runs all the way from tip to tail. We’re also excited about our Switchback bindings, which give you the ability to change your binding set-up on the fly. Highback or no highback, it’s going to be about what you want from your bindings. We aim to create a more flexible buying and riding experience for the consumer instead of having to deal with a set of specs/features that a brand decides. Switchback puts the rider in the driver’s seat and allows them to purchase and ride a binding that is 100 per cent customized for them. It will shake up the way we see bindings being sold right now.
