For 2012/13, Capita rolls out another solid line of amazing looking boards that ride exceptionally well. What’s their secret? A good mixture of quality control from using one of the most highly respected factories in the biz, along with a pinch of black magic.
Highlights?
For 2012/2013, we designed a new series called the Defenders of Awesome. The name is a spinoff from our award-winning movie and features our new Hybrid FK. This design has camber just outside the inserts into a flat section followed by a slight amount of rocker in the tip and tail right before the contact points. This allows for tons of power and pop that traditional camber provides without the edgy feel. It is the perfect combination of reverse camber and traditional camber. For women, we’re offering a similar approach in the new series called Birds of a Feather. We’re also doing our first ever brand collab in 2012. We teamed up with Volcom Snowboarding to make something very special for Dan Brisse’s pro model. It’s called the DBX 157 and will have graphics by Volcom Stone.
